Hello Early Childhood Professionals!

I hope this newsletter finds you in good spirits and not too much spring fever! It is that time of year when a number of you are up for membership renewal and thanks to the New Mexico Department of Labor grant we have been able to give away new memberships for free and therefore we are at an all time high for membership. However, with an expanding membership comes expanding demands. Due to the new demands we have implemented a new membership application and fee schedule.

This new format should be beneficial for all and help those that have multiple centers to join. With this new application it is important that you complete the required information because membership prices are set based on licensed capacity. There are also a few new options: One, we have added a teacher/student membership price for anyone who is currently a student and would like to receive the benefits of being a member of a professional organization. Two, we have added a section for those that wish to be added to our mailing list, but are members by default of their center membership. This would be a way for them to receive their own mailings of newsletters, training calendars, etc. Third, a friend of licensed child care is for someone who does not fall into the other categories but would like to be a member. Finally, there is a multiple center discount of 50% off, in this section you pay full price for your largest center and then half price for all other centers under the same corporation.

We see this new structure as a way to expand our membership and opportunities while creating a sustainable income source for the new demands.
