My passion: Early childhood education. I want to make a difference in the lives of children and families of New Mexico. Our children are the future of this country and our own future.
2010 Session Starts January 19th
The Legislature in the Special Session of 2009 held in October was unable to fully address the $650 million deficit in the current fiscal year. Our state budget at $6.2 billion in 2007 has been reduced over the last two legislative sessions to about $5.2 billion.

NCCA sponsored a Capital Fly-in on September 15-16. Participants met with ECEConsortium, American Children & Families, Pre-K Now, US Chamber, National Women’s Law Center, and several Senators & epresentatives. The date for the 2010 Fly-In will be the week of September 20, 2010 NCCA has published its Federal priorities for 2009-2010. They are available at www.NCCAnet.org.
